im convinced that andreil start holding hands because neil started wandering and getting lost in crowds and so whenever they head outside andrew starts reaching for his hand only because its a necessity and a safety thing. but then sometimes when they’re not outside they hold hands out of habit (and maybe because andrew likes the warmth of neil’s hands in his

neil doesn’t complain but he has to hide his smile everytime)
